PAULBLCK, founded by Bathandwa Mbobo in 2023, is a design venture born out of Bloemfontein, balancing luxury techniques with streetwear elements, showcased as ready-to-wear works of art.


Derived from a Visual art and Design stand point , PAULBLCK is both a reflection of timeless elegance and contemporary sophistication as Bathandwa came to Bloemfontein as a student, Aims to include these themes in each of his pieces. PAULBLCK combines Western and African iconography with nostalgic and a " take me back " aesthetic , a visual commentary seen a lot in the American Hip-Hop Culture. Bathandwa studied Visual art and Design history shortly after graduating HS and went to Bloemfontein and Studied Graphic Design.

With no formal training specific to fashion design, Mbobo credits his understanding of garments and construction to Hanging around with Fashion Designers and his own experimentation with screen printing providing a foundation and understanding of how to build each piece.
